The future of MGS

When systems fail, community shows up. Madison neighbors showed what's possible when neighbors care for neighbors, and we’re deeply grateful.

As we transition MGS to its next chapter, we’ll stop accepting new offers of help on December 7 and finalize matches shortly after.

Other ways to help

Your kindness makes a difference.

Every bag of groceries, dollar, and caring act helps a neighbor breathe a little easier. Thank you for showing up for your community and building a Madison that looks out for one another.

Madison Grocery Share was established to work alongside, not instead of, local food pantries. If you’re able, please keep donating to and supporting them. They do incredible work and can stretch every dollar further than we can at the store.

Are you interested in taking over Madison Grocery Share?

If you are a nonprofit, mutual aid group, or community organization interested in adopting or partnering with Madison Grocery Share, please reach out to hello@madisongroceryshare.org. We have the model documented and are ready to pass it on.

how it works infographic

We're not a formal organization. Just some neighbors who think people should have food to eat.

This group complements, not replaces, the incredible work of local food pantries.

We were built on community feedback and collaboration. Have ideas to make it better? Email us!
